“Sundays” 

Wouldn’t this be nice to have after all the time we spent building what we have together. After all the time I spent waiting for you, gaining your trust, focusing all my energy into just getting a chance, and finally I’ve gained it. Here you lie in my arms, deep in slumber listening to my heartbeat as a lullaby. 

You mumble something under your sleep making me ponder for the longest time trying to figure out what you put so little effort in saying. Eventually sooner or later I’ll realize the all the effort was futile and tiring. Your very being soothes my thoughts, my mind, and basically just me. That’s all I see in myself when I look in mirror, a regular guy that somehow got so damn lucky to catch your eye and win your heart.

Before I fall into slumber, I’ll kiss you on each cheek, your nose, your forehead, and lastly one soft touch on your lips. It’ll be ritual I’ll attempt after knowing for sure that you’re asleep so you’ll never know how much you mean to me. Haha “You’re my babe”.
